Non-Profit Consulting
Center for Learning Foundation

The Center for Learning Foundation was created with the express purpose of seeking and pursuing grants, donations and solicited funding opportunities that support, but are not exclusive to, the Center for Learning, Inc. In addition to the support the Foundation shows to the Center for Learning, Inc. the Foundation actively provides service and/or funds to community initiatives, recognized charitable organizations, educational institutions, health and wellness programs and other initiatives that support the community at-large and benefits young people emotionally, socially, developmentally, educationally and civically.

After unsuccessful completion of IRS 501(c)3 filing with a previous consultant, The H.E.L.P.-I.N.G. Group, LLC was instrumental in finishing this arduous process and assisting this foundation with SC Secretary of State filing and IRS filings. In addition, THG, LLC assisted in the amending of the bylaws.

After we assisted in this process, we were retained to provide additional services. Immediately we assisted with marketing and community awareness. We helped strengthen bonds with existing businesses and non-profits in their network and introduced new partnerships. Soon we provided critical support in additional areas (please click on active links to see some examples):

  • Assisted in submission of necessary non-profit annual filings for charities for the SC Secretary of State.
  • Assisted in obtaining SC tax-exempt status for purchases of vehicles.
  • Designed a custom web site for the foundation.
  • Facilitated the purchase of a fourteen-passenger bus for approximately $2500.00 and the initial servicing.
  • Wrote the Request for Proposal for a donation of a forty-passenger activity bus that was received at no cost.
  • Wrote the Request for Proposal for a $33,000.00 donation from Verizon Wireless that was received in less than two weeks from draft to funding. This additional funding helped to complete renovations to an administration building and build a seventeen-site computer labaratory.
  • Planned, structured, and implemented Administration Building Grand Opening and Sponsor Awards Ceremony, to include awards design and order, catering, and literature design.
  • Helped structure and implement a Youth Golf Tournament and Adult Hole-In-One with sponsors and live radio exposure.
  • Helped structure and implement a May Day Festival for youth with carnival-style games, food, and prizes for youth.
  • Designed graphics and t-shirts for various events.
  • Designed business cards.
